Sirajganj,
Apr 11 (UNB) – Ten people were killed and 56 others injured in a
head-on collision between a truck and a bus at Horgati in Bangabandhu
West thana at small hours today (Tuesday).
Police
said seven bus passengers were killed on the spot near Nalka Bridge,
some 15 kilometres west of Bangabandhu Bridge, when the Bogra-bound
bus collided with the truck coming from opposite direction at 1 am.
Three
injured bus passengers died on way to hospital.
Identity
of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Other
injured people were rushed to the General Hospital and private clinics
in the district town. The condition of nine injured admitted at the
General Hospital was said to be critical.
Police
Super of Sirajganj Mustafizur Rahman visited the spot at about 2 am.
