Sunamganj,
July 2 (UNB) – Seven officials of local Water Development Board,
including its executive engineer, have been sued for their alleged
involvement in misappropriating a project fund.
Officials
said Abdul Mosabbir, member of Paschim Pagla Union Parisad, filed the
case with the Magistrate Court against local WDB executive engineer GM
Shamsur Rahman, SO Khalilur Rahman, project chairman Obola Rani Das,
project members Fajiluddin Golam Mustafa, Ashis Kumar Chakrawarty and
Dilshad Mia.
In
his case, the UP member alleged that the officials misappropriated
over Tk 9.85 lakh sanctioned for the construction of a 565-meter cross
dam near Dabar Bridge in Paschim Pagla.
