Sylhet, May 21 (UNB) - Works on Ashuganj-Bhairab bridge over river Meghna, involving Tk 553 crore, are progressing fairly well.

 

The government has taken up the project with financial assistance from British Overseas Development Agency (ODA).

 

Edmund Natal Ltd, a British construction firm, is implementing the project taken up to establish direct road link between Dhaka and greater Sylhet.

 

Works on the bridge are expected to be completed by 2002.
