June 17 (UNB) – The government has allocated over Tk 33 crore to
implement various development projects in the district during the
current fiscal.
Among
the projects the biggest one is the construction of a bridge over the
river Kushiyara at Fennchuganj at a cost of over Tk 30 crore. The work
on the bridge will start soon.
Two
other bridges – one over the river Bashia on Sylhet-Balaganj road
and another on the Jointa cannel –- are being constructed at a cost
of Tk 2.50 crore.
Besides,
a number of road construction projects have already been completed at
a cost of Tk 54 lakh.
