June 23 (UNB) – All political and social organizations in Jokiganj
upazila have called for a straight three-day hartal here from June 25
to meet their demands of smooth traffic movement.
The
hartal program announced from an all party meeting on Thursday
demanded introduction of luxury coach on Jokiganj-Dhaka route and
stopping harassment on the Sylhet-Jokiganj road.
Chaired
by Sihab Ahmed Chowdhury, the meeting said if their demands are not
fulfilled after the hartal program, they would announce next course of
action on June 29.
