July 18 (UNB) - A court here sentenced a UP chairman to three months
in jail for logging government trees and pocketing money selling the
trees.
The
court also fined Ahmed Siddiki Dudu Mia, chairman of Kanaighat UP in
Kanaighat upazila, Tk 5,000 on July 10.
Sukur
Ali, a villager, filed the case against the chairman.
He
was sent to jail.
