July 8 (UNB) – A court here has sentenced two people to four years
rigorous imprisonment for possessing liquor.
The
convicted are identified as Yusuf Ali and Mustafa. The court also
fined them Tk 3,000 each.
According
to the prosecution, police arrested them along with 75 bottles of
liquor from a Sylhet-bound bus on April 26, 1998.
After
examining the records and witnesses, the Additional District and
Sessions Judge pronounced the judgement.
