Aug 9 (UNB) – A woman physician of the district MAG Osmany Medical
College Hospital has been affected with dengue virus.
Shamima
Parveen, medical officer of Gynaecology (outdoor) of the hospital went
to Dhaka two weeks ago and came back here spending a week in the
capital city.
She
was attacked by dengue fever as soon as she reached here sources said.
Shamima
was rushed to the hospital here on Sunday where the attending doctors
detected the virus after the blood test. Later the lady physician was
rushed to Dhaka for treatment.
When
contacted, Medical College authorities here declined to say anything
on the matter while another source said that the victim was sent to
Dhaka immediately after detection of the disease.
