Tangail,
July 31 (UNB) – Bangladesh Diploma Engineering Student-Teacher
Professional Action Council of Tangail unit has demanded immediate
implementation of the government announcement to turn the diploma
engineering course to a four-year course.
The
demand raised at a press conference at IDE office on Sunday. Member
Secretary of the council Rafiqul Islam read out the written statement.
Among
others, convenor Ismail Hossain and general secretary of IDE Tangail
Kazi Zakerul Mowla addressed the press conference.
The
speakers alleged that a vested quarter has been trying to create
obstacles in implementation of the course even after the curriculum
for this has already been prepared.
They
sought the Prime Minister’s intervention in implementation of the
course.
The
Prime Minister announced to turn the diploma-engineering course to
four years in 1997, they added.
