Chittagong, Apr 30 (UNB) – The main index at the Chittagong Stock Exchange continued to show a downtrend for the second straight day today (Sunday) as the losers dominated the gainers.

All Share Price Index at the country’s second bourse lost 3.33 points 0.30 percent to close at 1090.16 points from Saturday’s 1093.49 points.

Of the 52 listed securities traded today, 10 gained, 32 declined and 10 remained unchanged.

Some 475,642 shares and debentures valued at Tk 2.50 crore were transacted today as against 606,750 shares worth Tk 3.22 crore on the previous trading day.

Market capitalization stood at Tk 40.23 billion from Tk 40.35 billion on Saturday.
