May 9 (UNB) – Trading at the Dhaka Stock Exchange ended higher today
(Tuesday) as the gainers outnumbered the losers. All
Share Price Index at the country’s main bourse gained by 1.26 points or
0.24 percent to close at 517.84 points from Monday’s 516.58 points. Of
the 166 listed securities traded today, 75 advanced, 70 declined and 21
remained unchanged. Some
1,511,681 shares and debentures valued at TK 8.29 crore were transacted as
against 1,219,986 shares worth at Tk 7.36 crore on the previous day. Rangpur
Foundry (169,500), Northern (158,000), Sino Bangla (80,000), Bionic Food
(75,500) and Dynamic Tex (74,560) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 48.58 billion from Monday’s Tk 48.46 billion. Meanwhile,
import L/Cs worth Tk 13,061.52 crore remained outstanding as on March 31,
2000.
