Chittagong, May 9 (UNB) – Although the losers outnumbered the gainers, trading at the Chittagong Stock Exchange closed higher today. All Share Price Index at the country’s second bourse gained by 0.99 points or 0.09 percent to close at 1089.71 points from Monday’s 1088.72 points. Of the 62 listed securities traded today, 23 gained, 28 declined and 11 remained unchanged. Some 343,260 shares and debentures valued at Tk 1.95 crore changed hands today as against 539,460 shares worth at Tk 3.12 crore on the previous day. Dynamic Tex (37,260), Rangpur Foundry (36,500), BD Welding and Sino Bangla (34,500 each) and Chic Tex (32,500) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 40.22 billion as against Tk 40.18 billion on Monday.
