May 12, 2000 Chittagong, May 11 (UNB) – Price index at Chittagong Stock Exchange closed higher today (Thursday) as the gainers dominated the losers. All Share Price Index at the country’s second bourse gained 2.86 points or 0.26 percent to close at 1089.16 points from Wednesday’s 1086.31 points. Of the 58 listed securities traded today, 26 gained, 22 declined and 10 remained unchanged. Some 630,960 shares and debentures worth Tk 3.01 crore changed hands as against 824,163 shares valued at Tk 3.39 crore on the previous day. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 40.20 billion from Tk 40.10 billion on Wednesday.
