Reduction

May 16 (UNB) – Parliamentary Standing Committee on Industries Ministry
has decided to reduce the interest rate on loans for setting up small and
cottage industries to 10 percent. A
meeting of the committee at the Sangsad Bhaban today asked the concerned
authorities to take necessary steps to implement this decision and also
provide this facility to agro-based industries, said a press release. Chaired
by committee chairman Dewan Farid Gazi the meeting was attended by
Industries minister Tofail Ahmed, Hafiz Ahmed Majumder, M Rafiqul Anwar, M
Golam Hossain and AKM Mosharraf Hossain. A three-member sub-committee headed by Mosharraf was formed to submit a report on the organizational structure and manpower of the ministry and activities of its different divisions and departments. Two other members are Hafiz and Golam Hossain. |
