Chittagong, May 16 (UNB) – Chittagong Stock Exchange experienced a further rise today (Tuesday) in its benchmark as the losers outnumbered the gainers. The All Share Price Index at the country's second bourse gained 2.49 points or 0.23 per cent to close at 1098.94 points from Monday’s 1096.45 points. Of the 65 listed securities traded today, 34 gained, 19 declined and 12 remained unchanged. Some 920,410 shares and debentures valued at Tk 3.52 crore were transacted today as against 622,165 shares worth at Tk 2.81 crore on the previous day. Quasem Drycells (175,150), Dynamic Textile (189,060), Rahima Food (147,650), Paragon Leather (67,200) and Rose Heaven Ball (66,000) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 40.88 billion as against Tk 40.79 billion on Monday. |
