Kamaluddin reinstated to presidency of CCCI |

Chittagong, May 17 (UNB)- Kamaluddin Ahmed reinstated to the presidency of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) by an interim order of the High Court has asked the CCCI secretary to unlock his chamber tomorrow (Thursday).
In a letter to secretary Osman Gani Chowdhury today Kamal referred to the High Court order and regretted his (Osman) absence from office on Tuesday when he went there and found the president’s chamber under lock and key. CCCI Directors in a no-confidence vote ousted Kamal Uddin on March 18 and elected Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Javed as president on May 8. The High Court on a writ petition by Akhter Imam, a director of CCCI, in a rule stayed election of Saifuzzaman and reinstated Kamaluddin to his position until disposal of the its rule. |
