May 3, 2000 Dhaka, May 2 (UNB) – Dhaka Stock Exchange experienced a futher fall in its benchmark today (Tuesday) as the losers outnumbered the gainers.
All Share Price Index at the country's main bourse shed 6.67 points or 1.28 percent to close at 512.80 points from Sunday’s 519.47 points. Of the 168 listed securities traded today, 85 declined, 57 advanced and 26 remained unchanged. Some 1,499,876 shares and debentures valued at TK 7.95 crore were transacted as against 1,179,977 shares worth Tk 8.06 crore on the previous trading day. Beximco Pharma (179,100), Dynamic Textile (177,040), Sino Bangla (118,500), Rahima Food (106,450) and Shine Pukur (95,400) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalization stood at Tk 48.10 billion as against Tk 48.73 billion on Sunday.
