Chittagong, May 2 (UNB) – The main index at the Chittagong Stock Exchange fall for the third consecutive day today (Tuesday) as the losers dominated the gainers. All Share Price Index at the country’s second bourse dipped by 12.22 points or 1.12 percent to close at 1077.95 points from Sunday’s 1090.17 points. Of the 48 listed securities traded today, 14 gained, 28 declined and 6 remained unchanged. Some 580,990 shares and debentures valued at Tk 2.71 crore were transacted as against 475,642 shares worth Tk 2.50 crore on the previous trading day. Rahima Food (243,750), Dynamic Textile (115,800), Shine Pukur (45,600) and Beximco Pharma (41,600) were among the volume leaders. Major losers included Beximco Denims (-Tk 22.00), CTG Cement (-Tk 8.75), Shine Pukur (-Tk 7.75) and rahima Food (-Tk 5.75). There was no significant gainer excepting Samata Leather (+Tk 6.50). Market capitalization stood at Tk 39.83 billion from Sunday’s Tk 40.23 billion.
