Dhaka, – Although the losers outnumbered the gainers, price index at the Dhaka stock Exchange closed higher yesterday (Tuesday).
All Share Price Index at the country’s main bourse upgraded by 1.23 points or 0.23 percent to close at 545.30 points from Sunday’s 544.07 points.
Of the 184 listed securities traded today, 73 advanced, 84 declined and 27 remained unchanged.
Some 1,875,316 shares and debentures valued at Tk 12.53 crore were transacted as against 1,937,437 shares worth at Tk 12.74 crore on the previous trading day.
Market capitalisation stood at Tk 51.63 billion as against Tk 51.51 billion on Sunday.
