Mother of Korean star wins Las Vegas Jackpot |

SEOUL, (AP) - The mother of a South Korean movie actress has made a fortune by winning dlrs 9,487,583 from a gambling machine at a Las Vegas hotel, her son-in-law was quoted as saying Monday.
Kim Min-jung, 54, hit the jackpot by inserting only dlrs 6 into the slot machine called the "wheel of fortune" at a Las Vegas hotel on Saturday, Sohn Ji-chang was quoted as saying by the Daily Sports newspaper in Seoul.
It was the largest amount of money won from the gambling machine operated by the International Game Technology, said Sohn, who also is a television talent.
Sohn, 30, is the husband of Oh Yun-soo, 29, a well-known movie star in South Korea. Kim's fortune made headlines in South Korean newspapers after the entertainer couple made phone calls to friends in Seoul.
The Daily Sports said the family stopped in Las Vegas during their vacation in the United States.
The money, the daily said, will be paid to Kim over the next 20 years. She received a dlrs 474,379 check for this year's allotment, it said.
