Chittagong, (UNB) – The main index at Chittagong Stock Exchange ended higher yesterday amidst robust trading.
All Share Price Index at the country’s second bourse rose by 15.17 points or 1.31 percent to close at 1166.86 points from Tuesday’s 1151.69 points. Of the 74 listed securities traded today, 65 gained, seven declined and two remained unchanged. Some 1,008,429 shares and debentures valued at Tk 4.92 crore changed hands as against 710,985 shares worth Tk 2.67 crore on the previous day. Aims First Guaranteed Mutual Funds (147,500), Quasem Drycell (112,700), Dynamic Textiles (102,080), Rose Heaven Ball Pen (68,500) and BD Welding (43,000) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalization stood at Tk 49.20 billion from Tk 44.11 billion Tuesday.
