(UNB) – Day’s trading at Dhaka Stock Exchange closed higher yesterday
(Monday) with a slight rise in its benchmark index. All
Share Price Index at the country’s main bourse gained 1.11 points or
0.19 percent to close at 561.04 points from Sunday’s 559.93 points. Of
the 185 listed securities traded today, 94 advanced, 77 declined and 14
remained unchanged. Some
2,938,288 shares and debentures valued at Tk 11.19 crore changed hands as
against 3,171,021 shares worth Tk 11.27 crore on the previous trading day. Beximco
Pharma (609,900), AIMs First Mutual Fund (480,000), Quasem Drycell
(368,100), Shine Pukur (150,600) and Chic Textiles (139,500) were among
the day’s volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 53.12 billion as against Sunday’s Tk 53.01 billion.
