Chittagong (UNB)– The main index at Chittagong Stock Exchange declined yesterday although the gainers dominated the losers.
All Share Price Index at the country’s second bourse declined by 0.06 points or 0.01 percent to close at 1173.89 points from Wednesday’s 1173.94 points. Of the 63 listed securities traded yesterday, 36 gained, 18 declined and nine remained unchanged. Some 2,685,541 shares and debentures worth Tk 4.20 crore were transacted as against 1,303,945 shares valued at Tk 4.21 crore on the previous day. AIMS First Guaranteed (1,625,000), Quasem Drycells Limited (419,400), Beximco Pharma (163,350) and M Hossain Garments (85,200) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 44.83 billion as against Tk 44.83 billion Wednesday.
