EU will take necessary steps to bolster trade and investment relations with Bangladesh. |

June 8 (UNB) – European Union (EU) has assured the government of taking
all possible steps to bolster trade and investment relations with
Bangladesh. EU
has also assured to extend technical assistance for rapid development of
IT sector in Bangladesh, particularly the expansion of IT education at the
secondary school level. The
assurance came when EU Ambassador in Bangladesh Antonio De Souza Menezex
called on Commerce Minister Abdul Jalil today. Referring
to the EU-Bangladesh cooperation agreement signed in Brussels last month,
the Minister said Bangladesh attaches top priority to expansion of trade
and investment relations with EU. Commerce
Secretary Golam Rahman was present on the occasion. |
