Dhaka, July 11 (UNB) – The price index at Dhaka Stock Exchange marked further fall yesterday (Tuesday) with the losers outnumbering the gainers. All Share Price Index at the country’s main bourse shed 6.15 points or 0.88 per cent to close at 689.84 points from Monday’s 695.99 points. Of the 164 listed securities traded yesterday, 102 declined, 54 gained and eight remained unchanged. Some 16,307,240 shares and debentures valued at Tk Tk 48.18 crore were traded as against 24,263,290 shares worth Tk 74.41 crore on the previous trading day. AIMS First Mutual Fund (6,962,500), Chic Tex (1,793,000), Beximco Pharma (2,346,100), Quasem Dry Cells (1,072,400), Rangpur Foundry (721,500) and BD Welding (437,000) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 65.31 million from Tk 65.89 billion on Monday. |
