Chittagong (UNB) - The main index at Chittagong Stock Exchange rose further for the third straight day yesterday (Thursday) with the gainers dominating the losers. All Share Price Index at the country's second bourse gained 18.46 points or 1.19 percent to close at 1558.23 points from Wednesday's 1539.77 points. Of the 85 listed securities traded yesterday, 41 gained, 37 declined and seven remained unchanged. Some 7,498,160 shares and debentures valued at Tk 14.57 crore changed hands as against 7,978,872 shares worth Tk 15.30 crore on the previous day. Aims First Guaranteed (3,535,000), Fu-wang Foods (1,702,500), Chic Textile (611,500), Beximco Pharma (560,500), Quasem Drycells (381,600), Shine Pukur (122,200) and BD Welding (136,000) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 58.36 billion from Tk 57.73 billion on Wednesday.
