Chittagong (UNB) - Price Index at Chittagong Stock Exchange ended higher yesterday (Wednesday) as the gainers outnumbered the losers. The CSE All Share Price Index rose by 16.92 points or 1.27 percent to close at 1347.29 points from Tuesday 1330.37 points. Of the 58 listed securities traded yesterday, 38 gained, 17 declined and three remained unchanged. Some 5,982,482 shares and debentures valued at Tk 13.24 crore changed hands as against 4,063,162 shares worth Tk 9.75 crore on the previous trading day. AIMS First Guaranteed (1,932,500), Chic Tex (1,210,000), Quasem Drycells (951,600), Beximco Pharmaceuticals (679,150) and Fu Wang Foods (612,000) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 51.06 billion from Tk 50.48 billion on Tuesday. |
