Jute Minister in New York meets jute importers |

Dhaka(UNB)- Bangladesh will continue its efforts to expand marketing network of its jute products in the US market as it considers the market as very important and potential. According to a message received here yesterday this was stated by the visiting State Minister for Jute AK Faezul Huq in a meeting of the leading jute goods importers of US in New York on Wednesday. Held at the office of the Consulate General of Bangladesh the meeting was attended, among others, by Arron Zaris of Haris Freaman & Co., Bill Yappa of Delca International, S Kumar Shorop of Amee Sales and IB Das of Sarzaw Jute Equipment. The meeting had a detailed discussion of the potentiality of the multiple uses of jute products in the US market and also ways and means of increasing the import of jute products from Bangladesh. The US importers raised some of the difficulties being faced by them particularly in the line of shipment. The visiting minister, who is leading a six-member business delegation, assured the US importers of Bangladesh's continued cooperation for solving difficulties at the earliest. He said, "Bangladesh always prefers special prices for the importers of US and pays utmost emphasis for timely shipment". |
