Chittagong (UNB) - Trading at the Chittagong Stock Exchange finished higher yesterday (Saturday) marking a rise in its benchmark index. The CSE All Share Price Index rose by 16.09 points or 1.18 percent to close at 1377.86 points from Thursday's 1361.77 points. Of the 74 listed securities traded yesterday, 50 gained, 21 declined and three remained unchanged. Some 4,657,913 shares and debentures valued at Tk 8.75 crore changed hands as against 4,280,624 shares worth Tk 10.79 crore on the previous trading day. AIMS First Guaranteed (1,945,000), Chic Tex (727,500), Quasem Drycells (420,650), Fu Wang Food (391,000), Beximco Pharma (329,500), Ashraf Textile (261,300) and Sino Bangla (146,500) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at 52.12 billion from Tk 51.56 billion on Thursday. |
