Dhaka (UNB) - Week’s trading at the Dhaka Stock Exchange began yesterday (Saturday) marking a significant rise in its benchmark index. The DSE All Share Price Index rose by 40.37 points or 6.22 percent to close at 663.46 points from Thursday’s 623.09 points. Of the 179 listed securities traded yesterday, 150 advanced, 22 declined and seven remained unchanged. Some 15,903,254 shares and debentures worth Tk 47.34 crore changed hands yesterday as against 17,286,683 shares and debentures valued at Tk 46.42 crore on the previous trading day. AIMS First Mutual Fund (6,985,000), Beximco Pharma (1,638,400), Quasem Dry Cell (1,339,500) and Chic Tex (1,106,000) were among the volume leaders. Market capitalisation stood at Tk 62.81 billion as against Tk 58.99 billion on Thursday. |
