Chittagong (UNB) - The main index at Chittagong Stock Exchange closed lower yesterday with losers outnumbering the gainers.

The CSE All Share Price Index shed 7.62 points or 0.54 percent to close at 1386.12 points from Tuesday's 1393.74 points.

Of the 65 listed securities traded yesterday, 15 gained, 43 declined and seven remained unchanged.

Some 655,270 shares and debentures valued at TK 2.49 crore were transacted as against 724,787 shares worth Tk 2.85 crore on the previous trading day.

Sino Bangla (157,500), Chic Tex (109,500), Beximco Pharma (69,850), BD Welding (66,500) and Meghna Shrimp (52,680) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 52.52 billion as against Tk 52.79 billion on Tuesday.
