Dhaka (UNB)- A professional marketing speaker of international repute yesterday said Bangladesh requires a committed leadership in both business and politics to garner benefits from potential. “Prospects are excellent. You’ll get reward if business and political leadership can embrace that chance, can realise potential,” Orvel Ray Wilson told newsmen. The American marketing preacher has been here to speak on aggressive marketing approach at a two-day conference on “Business Without Borders” that began at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel September yesterday (Thursday). The international chain hotel has organised the unique event to help local business leaders get access to new strategies of world marketing. The theme of the conference is “Sales Mindset: Unleash Your Hidden Potential.” Sonargaon Hotel’s general manager Hans Winsnes said they would organise such interactions at least once every year to net business without borders. He said the conference, first of its kind here, received exciting response from local businesspeople. Wilson, president of Guerrilla Group, USA, authored a number of books on marketing. One of his recent books, Guerrilla Selling, speaks of unconventional weapons and tactics for increasing sales of products. A speaking professional certified by National Speakers Association, Wilson said Bangladesh’s business needs commitment from the political leadership to remove barriers to business, to run business in a free and healthy environment, eliminate corruption, improve electricity and telecom services and develop an overall investment infrastructure. |
