Indigenous and traditional 'Benarasi' Sari fair begins |

Dhaka (UNB) - A month long 'Benarasi Saree Fair' organized by Property Development Limited began at Property Plaza near Mouchak square here yesterday. While formally inaugurating the fair State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Prof Zinatun Nesa Talukdar said Benarasi Saree has traditional heritage both in home and abroad. She also underscored the need for upholding the heritage of Benarasi by patronizing such fair and its weavers. Prof Panna Kaiser, Chairman and MD of PDL and Lt Col (retd) Mahtabuddin Ahmed were present said an official handout. |
