NAIROBI, (AP) - An unbeaten 141 by captain Saurav Ganguly and a Rahul Dravid half century helped India to 295 for six in its ICC Knockout Trophy semifinal against South Africa on Friday.

Ganguly, who won the toss and elected to bat first, received a break in his innings when on 75 he was caught by Jonty Rhodes at point, but umpire Steve Bucknor no-balled Lance Klusener.

The captain's score came off 142 balls and included 12 boundaries and six sixes, providing the basis for a second-wicket partnership of 145 with Dravid.

Ganguly and Dravid joined together after Jacques Kallis eliminated Sachin Tendulkar, who was caught at slips by Klusener for 39.

The winner of Friday's match will advance to Sunday's final against New Zealand, which beat Pakistan by four wickets on Wednesday.

India reached the 200 mark in the 38th over with Ganguly on 98 and Dravid on 52. The Indian skipper got to his century mark in the 39th over.

Dravid was dismissed by Klusener in the 40th over, caught by wicketkeeper Mark Boucher before Indian prospect Yuvraj Singh added a 41 off 35 balls with six fours.

Singh survived a missed catch by Nicky Boje in the 40th over off Klusener while on two and went on to produce a partnership of 82 with Ganguly before eventually falling to Kallis.

Paceman Allan Donald then struck, sending Robin Singh and Vinod Kambli back for ducks off consecutive balls in the final over.

Donald, back from semi-retirement, ran out Singh off his own delivery before trapping Kambli leg before.

He then had Vijay Dahiya caught by Andrew Hall off the final ball of the innings to complete with two wickets for 34 runs from his 10 overs.

Kallis also finished with two wickets but was quite expensive, conceding 71 runs.
