Dhaka (UNB) – CricInfo.com, the world’s leading cricket website, has been appointed to host and manage the official website of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

An agreement to this effect was signed here yesterday (Thursday) between CricInfo and Bangladesh Cricket Development Foundation (BCDF)

The site will form part of CricInfo’s global network of official website www.CricInfo.com. which hosts eight of the 10 test-playing countries as well as the ICC and many first class teams.

From this website, cricket fans of Bangladesh will be able to enjoy unprecedented coverage of their team, including audio highlights, audio and video commentary from domestic matches, live scorecards, statistics and photographs.

Other features will include interactive content and material such as games, fantasy cricket competitions, other countries, quizzes, polls forums, live chat, reviews and articles.

“It is important that followers all over the world of Bangladesh cricket should have the best and most accessible Internet service available,” said BCB president Saber Hossain Chowdhury MP.

CricInfo’s chief executive Simon King said: “The challenge for CricInfo is to produce a website that reflects the intense passion found in Bangladesh for cricket.”
