AICRI beats Kalabagan by 4 wickets |

Dhaka, Jan 5 (UNB) – The visiting All India Cricket Research Institute (AICRI) under–17 Cricket team earned their second consecutive win beating Kalabagan Cricket Academy by 4 wickets in an exhibition match at the Dhanmondi Club ground here today. The visiting Indian boys lost their first two encounters but found their way winning two matches in a row. Losing the toss, Kalabagn Cricket Academy batted first to make a formidable 245 runs for all in 38.4 overs with highest 57 runs coming from extras. Captain Riad made 45 runs off 37 balls while Raihan added 37 off 30 balls. Tawfiq captured three wickets while Goutam two for visitors. Skipper Aranya Dev Sarker made the second consecutive unbeaten century to help AICRI reach the target of 246 runs for six wickets in 38.5 overs. Opener Aranya hammered 127 runs off 109 deliveries with 12 fours and 4 sixes while Tomojit was the another notable scorer making 33 runs. Raihan took two wickets for 25 runs. |
