Mymensingh-- (UNB) – Rupsha Eleven of Khulna and Rajshahi Eleven won their respective matches in the Grameen Under-17 Cricket Tournament that began here yesterday. Rupsha Eleven beat Metro Blues by 13 runs while Rajshahi defeated BKSP by 8 runs in the two opening day matches. At Mymensingh Stadium, Rupsha Eleven batted first and were all out for 162 runs in 38.5 overs. Sumon made the team highest 36 while Saif, Mokhles and Rafiqul took 2 wickets each. In reply, Metro Blues were bundled out for 149 runs in 38 overs. Shipar scored 48 and Asif 37 while Sumon and Koushik bagged 4 wickets each for 14 and 15 runs. At Circuit House ground, Rajshahi Eleven were all out in 117 runs in 39.5 overs with Momtaj scoring the team highest 49. Shafaq of BKSP clinched 4 wickets for 18 runs. In reply, BKSP boys were all out in 109 runs in 37.4 overs. Shakil made the team highest 30 runs while Munna of Rajshahi took 3 wickets and Momtaj bagged two. |
