Khulna 225 for 6 against Biman at stumps on 1st day |

Dhaka (Bangla2000)--At BKSP, Salauddin Ujjal scored 96 runs to steer Khulna Division to 225 for 6 in 80 overs against Bangladesh Biman at the end of the first day of the final phase National Cricket League yesterday. Jamaluddin Babu and Manjurul Islam Rana were batting with 41 and 8 runs respectively when the bails were drawn for the day. Nahidul Haq Shaon and Sajjadul Hasan Setu opened Khulna Division innings after asked to bat first by Biman captain Faruque Ahmed. Shaon made 12 off 40 balls with two boundaries while Setu contributed 33 runs off 81 deliveries with five hits across the rope. Number four batsman Ujjal helped Khulna Division, who won their previous matches to reach top slot, to reach a comfortable position scoring 96 runs off 187 balls that included 13 boundaries. Promising pacer Mohammad Sharif was the most successful bowler for national flag career Biman claiming four wickets for 68 runs in 25 overs while Shariful Haq Plabon took two wickets for 32 runs.
