SYDNEY-- (AP) - The West Indies turned on the best fielding display of their Australian tour to dismiss Zimbabwe for 138 in a limited-overs tri-series cricket match at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Tuesday. Jimmy Adams' team can almost clinch a place in the finals with a successful pursuit of 139 runs under lights later Tuesday. Adams' decision to ask Zimbabwe to bat appeared unusual given the high temperatures and the fact the ground has proved a formidable venue for teams chasing runs under lights. But with the barren-looking pitch offering bounce and carry, West Indies pacemen Nixon McLean, Cameron Cuffy and Laurie Williams put the top order under pressure from the start. Cuffy scored two early wickets when Alistair Campbell (4) edged to Ridley Jacobs in the fourth over and Guy Whittall (11) ballooned a catch off the shoulder of his bat to Sherwin Campbell at second slip. Stuart Carlisle moved the run-rate along in the 11th over when he hit McLean for two boundaries - a desperation edge and a lofted drive - and by the end of 15 overs, Zimbabwe was 48-3. Cuffy bowled his 10 overs straight and was rewarded with Grant Flower's wicket - the third to be caught by wicketkeeper Jacobs - with his penultimate ball to have Zimbabwe 62-4. He finished with 4-24 - his best bowling in one-day internationals.
