Dhaka-- (UNB) – All round performance by skipper Shafiul Alam steered Khulna Tigers to the final of the Grameen Phone Under-17 Cricket tournament beating Rajshahi Teesta by 5 wickets in the semi-final at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium here yesterday (Wednesday).

Favoured by coin, Khulna Tigers sent the Rajshahi boys to bat first and booked them for 163 for 9 in stipulated 45 overs.

Later, Khulna Tigers reached their target making 165 for 5 in 42.4 overs with all of their seven batsmen reaching double figures.

Shafiul Alam, who played an anchor role to restrict Rajshahi Teesta by grabbing four wickets for 29 runs in eight overs, also contributed team highest 31 runs off 39 balls with five fours.
