Khulna 262 for 8 against Biman at stumps |

At Jessore, Manzurul Islam Rana scored 76 runs to guide Khulna Division to make 262 runs for 8 wickets in 97 overs against Bangladesh Biman at the local Shamsul Huda Stadium. Jamaluddin Babu and Al Amin were batting with 42 and 9 runs respectively when bails were drawn for the first day of the four-day match. Khulna lost four wickets for 81 runs after sent into bat first, but Rana and Asadullah Biplob repaired the damage adding 112 runs in the fifth wicket stand. Number five batsman Rana scored 76 runs off 122 balls with twelve boundaries while Biplob made 39 off 82 balls with three hits to the fence. Opener Mohammad Salim was the other notable scorer with 34 runs off 69 balls that included five fours. Mohammad Sharif, Pakistani Amir Wasim and Ziaur Rashid Rupom captured two wickets each for title contenders Biman.
