Bangla, New Model & Rajarbagh win at National School Cricket |

Dhaka-- (UNB) - National Bangla High School, New Model High School and Rajarbagh Police Lines School earned massive victories against their respective rivals in the National School Cricket Championship yesterday (Sunday). National Bangla High School beat Sunbeams School by nine wickets at the Dhanmondi club ground. Batting first, Sunbeams were all out for 99 runs in 28.4 overs. Bangla High School reached their target of 100 runs losing only one wicket in 12.3 overs. At the KKC ground, New Model High School smashed Udayan Kindergarten & High School by 180 runs. Deciding to bat first, New Model scored huge 259 runs for all in 34.3 overs and later dismissed Udayan for 79 runs in 20.5 overs. Rajarbagh Police Lines School defeated Sunny Dale School by 137 runs at the Mirpur Outer Stadium. Opting to bat first, Rajarbagh School scored mammoth 268 runs for 6 wickets in stipulated 35 overs. In reply, Sunny Dale could make only 131 for all in 29.4 overs. In the day’s other match, Rabeya Pre-Cadet High School beat Jannat Academy High School by 15 runs at the Mirpur City Club ground. Rabeya Pre-Cadet scored 216 runs for 5 wickets in fixed 35 overs while Jannat Academy were all out for 201 runs in 33.2 overs. |
