Apr 12 (UNB) – An all round performance by Tarek enabled Sadharan Bima KS to
earn a three-wicket victory over Agrani Bank Club in the Janakantha Metropolis
Premier Division Cricket League at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium today
(Wednesday). Opted to
bat first, the bankers team were dismissed for 197 in 44.4 overs with number
five batsman Shahin Malik making 70 runs off 87 balls hitting eight fours and
Shovan scoring 45 off 54 deliveries featuring two boundaries. Skipper
Dola and Tarek claimed three wickets each giving away 30 and 42 runs while Hasan
took two for 35 runs. In
reply, the Insurancemen reached the winning target making 201 runs for seven in
44.5 overs with number five batsman Tarek playing an anchor role for the team
contributing a polished 64 runs in 65 balls with six hits across the rope and
one over the rope. Indian
Rajinder Singh made 44 runs off 62 balls featuring five fours and a sixer while
opener Mintoo also scored 44 runs in 79 deliveries with six hits to the fence. Russel
and Rubel of Agrani Bank took two wickets each giving away 31 and 45 runs
