Apr 12 (UNB) – The History Department reached the final of the
‘Inter-departmental Cricket Tournament’ of the Jahangirnagar University
defeating Archeology Department by 65 runs at JU sports ground today. Batting
first, History Department scored 132 runs for all in 27 over. Deepak made the
team highest 47 runs while Shamim 28 and Sabbir 19 for the winning team. Mukti
claimed three wickets and Tapan two for the losers. In
reply, Archeology Department managed to score only 67 runs losing all wickets.
Tapan scored 17 and Tutul 11. Deepak
grabbed three wickets and was adjudged as man of the match for his all round
performance. Chayan and Shuvro claimed two wickets each. History Department will take on the Government and Politics Department in the final. |
