Australian
wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist held a world record six catches as South
Africa slumped in the second limited-over international against
South Africa at Newlands on Friday.
Gilchrist was involved in six of the
first eight dismissals as South Africa crashed to 117 for eight
after being sent in by Australian captain Steve Waugh.
One of Gilchrist's victims was
opposite number Mark Boucher, who fluffed an opportunity to set the
record two days earlier when he dropped an easy chance after holding
five catches during South Africas six-wicket win in the first
international in Durban. |
