Dhaka, May 11 (UNB)- Victoria SC earned a massive 96-run victory over Sadharan Bima in the Janakantha Premier Division Cricket Relegation League at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium today (Thursday).

After the day’s win, Victoria Sporting Club raised their tally to 14 points from 14 matches while Sadharan Bima collected 12 points from same number of outings.

Two half centuries by Sajjad Ahmed Shipon and Iqbal Sheikh guided Victoria SC to score a dependable 243 runs total losing 8 wickets in stipulated 50 overs after put into bat first.

Opener Shipon scored 54 runs off 74 balls that featured five boundaries while Iqbal made the team highest 60 runs off 66 balls.

Rashed Hanif was the other notable scorer making 40 runs off 54 deliveries with three hits across the rope. Number nine batsman Shuvro played a fruitful innings of 20 runs facing 21 balls that featured two hits to the fence.

Nakib Haider, Totam, Hasan and Dola took two wickets each.

In reply, Sadharan Bima were all out for 147 runs in 36.3 overs with one down Shafiqul Islam adding 58 runs off 86 balls.

Shuvro, Sabbir Khan and Shaymol claimed two wickets each.
