Sri Lanka will be first to arrive today |

Dhaka, May 25 (UNB)- Sri Lanka will be the first team to arrive in the city today to participate in the 7th Pepsi Asia Cup Cricket beginning here from May 28.
The 14-member team, along with four officials, is expected to arrive here at 12:50 pm by Thai Airways.
The southpaw glittering batsman Sanath Jayasuriya will lead the defending champions team while Mahela Jayawardena will act as his deputy.
Soon after their arrival, the Sri Lankan team will go for a practice session in the afternoon at the Bangabandhu National Stadium, the venue of the tournament.
The former world champions will play in the opening match against hosts Bangladesh on Sunday, take on India on June 1 and play their last match against Pakistan on June 5.
Team: Sanath Jayasuriya (captain), Mahela Jayawardena (vice-captain), Aravinda de Silva, Marvan Attapattu, Rumesh Kaluwithrana (Wicket-keeper), Muthiah Muralitharan, Chaminda Vaas, Upal Chandana, Russel Arnold, TM Dilshan, Indika de Saram, Nuwan Zoysa, Sajeewa de Silva and Kaushalya Weeraratne.
