BRISBANE (AP) - Australian Cricket Board chief executive Malcolm Speed has spoken with Shane Warne over an alleged sex scandal engulfing the star spinbowler.
Speed did not release details of the telephone conversation but an ACB spokesman on Wednesday said disciplinary action had not been considered over the allegations, which emerged in a British newspaper.
Warne has refused to comment since he was accused of making "disgusting" harassing phone calls to a 22-year-old nurse.
The ACB said the overnight teleconference between Speed and Warne was part of regular contact between the national organizing body and its contracted players.
Warne, Australia's leading test wicket-taker, is playing for Hampshire in England's county competition during the Australian winter. He is living in England with his wife and children.
Speed was expected to meet Warne in person when he travels to England next month for an International Cricket Council meeting.
