FBCCI jubilant for ‘Test status’ |

Dhaka (UNB) – FBCCI yesterday warmly greeted cricketers, organizers and the government on Bangladesh’s achievement of Test status as 10th full member of International Cricket Council.
“Apart from performance of the cricketers, relentless effort by Bangladesh Cricket Board had a vital role in achieving the honour,” said the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Following the achievement, the FBCCI in a statement said, a pragmatic plan should be adopted right now to take country’s cricket much forward and bring more laurels for the nation.
It hoped that Bangladesh will establish itself as a cricketing power by spreading cricket at grassroots level, developing infrastructure, including a permanent cricket stadium, organising age group competitions throughout the year and increasing facilities for the cricketers. |
