team leaves for Pakistan |

Dhaka
(UNB) - Bangladesh national youth team will leave here for Pakistan on
Tuesday to participate in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Under-17
tournament in Karachi. Nafis
Iqbal will lead the Bangladesh squad comprising 14 players and two
officials in the 10-team Asian youth meet to be held in the Pakistani city
during July 15-30. The
Karachi-bound youth cricket squad made a courtesy call with BCB President
Saber Hossain Chowdhury at the board office this (Sunday) afternoon and
took part in a photo session. Bangladesh
have been placed in Pool A with hosts Pakistan, Nepal, Kuwait and the
Maldives while Pool B teams are Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia,
Singapore and Saudi Arabia. Bangladesh
will play giant Pakistan in the inaugural match on July 15 at the National
Stadium in Karachi. The
test debutant will meet Nepal on July 19 at the Asgar Ali Shah Stadium,
Maldives on July 20 at the National Bank Sports Complex and Kuwait on July
21 at the United Bank Sports Complex. Two
top teams from each pool will play in the semifinals, both scheduled for
July 23 while the final match will be held on July 25 at the National
Stadium in Karachi. Bangladesh

Shafiul Alam, Anwar Hossain (wicket keeper), Talha Zubair, Mohammad Sharif,
Mahbubul Alam Robin, Kuntal Chandan Papan, Prosenjit Bose Joy, Kazi
